Popular Afro-Pop and Rap duo 5 Billion Strong have confirmed to this press that they are no longer representing the Red Flag Music Label (RFM) of local Rap Artiste, LAJ.
The news break out just two months after the release of their 'Loyalty Album' which was launched at the Hotel 5/10 May 1st this year.
The duet became the last squad to secede from the Label joining the likes of Vuga C, Camouflage, CEO of Borderline Entertainment, K. Mill and Souferior, now CEO of Greatness Hustle Music.
The reason for the team's withdrawal as alleged is however connected to;
i. During the release of the ' Loyalty Album' at Hotel 5/10, the gate-takings was never presented to them nor do they have any representatives at the gate to tell them exactly what was collected. (Considering the fact that Twenty Thousand Leones was the entrance fee). ii. The promises made by LAJ prior to the May 1st show was unfulfilled, incomplete and hoaxes.
iii. After their 6 years of service to the RFM nothing beneficial came out of it.
iv. They deemed it necessary to get new challenges elsewhere and further their respectable career.
v. Nothing was given to them by LAJ after the 'LOYALTY ALBUM' at Hotel 5/10.
It is yet unclear whether or not LAJ or any Red Flag Music Label Executive would respond to the allegations been levied on them.
As it stands currently, the 5 Billion Strong is working on new songs including collaborations to challenge the market after their secession from the Red Flag Music Label.
In an interview with this press, the duo ascertain that they are in no rush to select a label neither a management to handle their affairs as they are now focusing on their radio tours to explain in-depth as to why they left Red Flag Music.
